Great hotel, centrally located in Parral. I found this one by accident riding around “el centro” looking for two other hotels I saw on my Maps.me app. Never found those and was about to start to head out of the city as it was busy and bustling and I just couldn’t find a way to research hotels when I came across an open parking space in front of Hotel Moreira.

Parked the bike, walked inside the pleasant lobby and asked in poor Spanish about an available room and how much. Very friendly and understanding of my poor Spanish.

Not knowing what to expect as I have never been to this city before (passed by it last trip), I found this city incredibly vivid, local, active and fun to walk. It is built inside a valley and up along the hillsides. It has different levels and grades with tight, hilly alleys and roads that climb up the hillsides. It has a genuine Mexican city feel meaning I haven’t seen any other gringos and I doubt if many, if any, gringos come here to vacation. Just a great Mexican, locals city. I could fall in love with a place like this I think.

I liked this place and this city so much that I booked a second night the following morning. Also staying another night gives me the chance to catch up on website, downloads, etc.
